Biography Hans Georg Nenning

Hans Georg Nenning, born in Graz, Austria is one of the versatile actors in German speaking world.He completed course requrements at Max-Reinhard Seminar  in Vienna and made his debut on the stage of the Burgtheater. As a  member of the ensemble ”Die Komoedianten“ he has acted in the legendary  stagings of Conny Hannes Meyer. Theatre Engagements in Stadttheater Ulm, Theater in der Josefstadt, Volkstheater, Stadttheater Salzburg have  come next. In 1979 he wrote and put on stage a play ”Admired and Spewed”  about the life of Francois Villon where he played the leading role  of the middle-aged French poet in the Theater der Courage. A few months  later he did the same with James Dean in ”Rebel Without a Cause” in Schauspielhaus Vienna.

Hans Georg Nenning is a very experienced actor who has acted  in 52 films and TV productions. His most recent credits include: ”Hansi Vrba” written by Ernst Hinterberger - causing a big ado, and in the  episode ”Transit Into Death” as an author and leading role actor in the Europian production ”EUROCOPS”.

 

In 2000 he was acting in the US serial ”BAND OF BROTHERS”,  part nine: ”Why We Fight”, directed by David Frankel and produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg for Dreamwork / HBO.

2006 he decided to take his first step on the road to film directing. Together with Werner Ertel he produced the documentation ”Es war mir herzlich ernst“ for  ORF.

2007 he shot in Paris his first Short ”DUSK”.
